Iran's Salehi Congratulates Anniversary of Lebanese Liberation Day

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Iran's FM Ali Akbar Salehi congratulated Lebanon on the anniversary of the Lebanese Liberation Day and the freedom of abducted Lebanese pilgrims in Syria, here on Friday. In two separate messages to Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and the Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, Salehi congratulated the 12th anniversary of victory of Lebanese resistance over the Zionist regime. He called the victory of Islamic resistance upon the occupying force of Zionist regime as a start for bigger victories and a turning point for ceaseless campaign against Tel-Aviv. Iran’s FM called the event 'historical', adding that these victories including Lebanon's victory in 33 Day War of 2006 are the result of resistance of the Lebanese youth, inspired by the late founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini (P) under the guidance of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei. “The vigilance of Lebanon's political parties and the Lebanon’s nation will deter the enemy's plots,” Salehi said./end
