Larijani, al-Bashir calls for immediate end to Syrian crisis

Tehran, Aug 31 IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Sudanese President Ahmad Hassan Omar al-Bashir on Friday called for an immediate end to Syrian crisis and stopping arms shipment to rebels fighting legitimate government defense force. Larijani told al-Bashir in a meeting on the sidelines of the 16th NAM Summit that Syria’s weakening would be in favor of the Zionist regime and the Syrian people and the Muslim World will suffer the most from the current situation. The two sides also voiced their readiness for cooperation to find a regional solution to the crisis. Larijani said Iran’s private sector is ready to help Sudan with its industrial progress. “Iran is determined to bolster and consolidate ties with Sudan. “ He said, “Iran has always stood by the Sudanese nation.” Bashir said in turn that his country is willing to expand cooperation with Iran. “Sudanese nation will never forget support of their Iranian brethren under hard conditions.”
