Iran, North Korea start talks on issues of mutual interest

Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and North Korea's number two leader Kim Yong-nam started talks on the issues of mutual interests here on Saturday. A number of Iran's cabinet members including Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Fereydoon Abbasi and a number of other Iranian officials were present in the welcoming ceremony of the North Korean official to the Presidential Office. Iranian President and North Korean official, who is also the head of parliament, are to review the latest international and regional developments. Kim Yong-nam attended the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit held in the Iranian capital on August 30-31.
