Ahmadinejad: No Enemy Force Could Ever Overcome Iranian Nation

New York, Sept 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that no enemy force has yet overcome the Iranian nation, stressing that Iran’s foes would never be able to overtake the nation in future either. The president made the remarks here Sunday evening during a meeting with the Iranians residing in the US. Referring to the remarks of several Zionist authorities who keep threatening the Islamic Republic, the president said that no bullying power has ever been successful in overcoming the Iranian nation. He also outlined the all-out support rendered by hegemonic powers to former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein when he invaded Iran. He said they armed him with the latest military equipment and mobilized all their might to attack the Islamic Republic through him but the Iranian nation managed to confront them vehemently despite all sanctions it was facing. The Iranian President further stressed that based on the history, any hostile force that invaded Iran not only failed to achieve anything but rather was destroyed and overwhelmed by the rich culture of the nation. Stressing that enemies of Iran are well aware of the fact that Iranians are quite capable of managing world affairs, he said that is exactly for this reason that they are scared of losing their authority to loot nations.
