Boroujerdi: Iran Welcomes Parliamentary Cooperation With Poland

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA -- Chairman of Iran's Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Policy and National Security, Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Saturday Majlis welcomes expansion of ties and parliamentary cooperation with Poland. He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting chairman of Iran-Poland Friendship Group Machie Grabskey. Pointing to Iran-Poland friendly historical ties and cooperation, Boroujerdi said that Iran is ready to prepare the ground for expansion of mutual ties especially cultural relations. He pointed to recent regional developments and said supporting regional peace and stability is a paramount task which Iran pays more attention to it. The lawmaker underlined further expansion of consultations between Iranian and polish officials on different mutual, regional and international issues. Grabskey expressed pleasure with his meeting with Boroujerdi and said that Poland is willing to expand ties with Iran in all fields of mutual interests. Appreciating Iran's role for easing the tension in the region, he called for peaceful ways to resolve regional and international issues./end
