Envoy: Sanctions Turn Iran Into Scientific Hub

Madrid, March 9, IRNA – Iranˈs ambassador to Spain, in a meeting with Basque parliament speaker, said that although West sanctions against Iran created problems for us, Iranian youth turn Iran into a scientific and technologic hub in the world.
According to the report of Iranˈs embassy in Spain, Morteza Saffari Natanzi, in a meeting with Basque Parliament Speaker Bakartxo Tejeria in the city of Vitoria, capital of Basque, expounded on Iranˈs achievements in the past three decades in political, economic and scientific fields.
Saffari said that imposed sanctions created problems for Iran, but these problems compared with huge achievements of Iran were tolerable.
He called Iranˈs nuclear program completely peaceful and under supervision of International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA), adding that Iran had very good cooperation with the IAEA and will continue it.
The ambassador underlined nationˈs rights for access to peaceful nuclear energy and called western media propaganda in this concern completely political without any legal credit.
He explained Iranˈs parliament role in political structure of the country and expressed Iranˈs readiness to strengthen and expand parliamentary relations with Basque state.
Ms. Bakartxo Tejeria, for her part, expressed support for expansion of economic ties between Basque and Iran and explained Basque abilities and intention of local officials to develop ties with Iran.
She also welcomed strengthening parliamentary relations between Iran and the autonomous state of Basque.
Saffari also met with head of local government of Basque Inigo Urkullu and a number of political officials and senior directors of commercial companies./end
