Iranˈs Trade Balance Positive In 1st Quarter Of Year

Zanjan, July 9, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade, Ali-Reza Shojaie, said on Monday that Iranˈs foreign trade balance has been positive as exports exceeded imports in the first three months of the year (starting on March 21, 2013). Shojaie told a ceremony to exalt top industry and mine activists in Zanjan that in the period, $9.8b worth of exports and $9.4b worth of imports were recorded. He said that non-oil exports should reach as much as $98b and exports in general to $94b. He said that non-oil exports value last year stood at $17.7b well above the $17.1b target. He added that non-oil exports earning is expected to reeach $20b this year./end
