Detention Of Bahraini Activists Deteriorating Existing Problems

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Detention of Bahraini political activists for “unfounded excuses” would not only solve the country’s existing problems but also would make them more complicated, senior official at the Foreign Ministry said Sunday. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham made the remarks while commenting on latest developments in Bahrain. A number of Bahraini political activists were arrested in the past days. Criticizing the intensified security situation in Bahrain, Afkham urged Bahraini officials to prepare the ground for conducting “constructive talks” between people and government through confidence-building measures./end
