President of the Union of European Football Associations Michel Platini paid a one-day visit to Mongolia on November 9 at the invitation of the Head of Mongolian Football Federation B.Ganbold.
President of Mongolia Ts. Elbegdorj and Prime Minister Ts. Altankhuyag received Mr. Platini and shared views on soccer development. At the meeting, President Elbegdorj expressed his appreciation for his visit to Mongolia and said “I’m glad that a legendary soccer player Michel Platini visiting Mongolia”.
Mr. Platini said that he enjoys friendly relations and cooperation with the Mongolian Football Federation and informed President Elbegdorj that he studied opportunities to send Mongolian soccer trainers to France and Switzerland for training. He expressed his readiness to support football development in Mongolia.
Mr Platini attended a TV show together with his Mongolian fans and was present at the international in-door soccer competition being organized in Ulaanbaatar.
