Russia’s relations with Kazakhstan and Belarus to dominate Putin’s talks in Astana, Kremlin spokesperson says

MOSCOW, March 18 /TASS/. Russia’s relations with Kazakhstan and Belarus rather than the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union will dominate Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Astana on March 20, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists. Putin is scheduled to meet Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. "Please, do not mix this format with the Eurasian Economic Union. Integration processes will not be the key topics. The talks will focus on trilateral and bilateral relations as well as regional problems," Peskov explained adding that apart from the trilateral meeting, Putin would hold separate meetings with Nazarbayev and Lukashenko.
