MINSK, June 29. /TASS/. Belarus is ready to provide a venue for dialogue between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union on establishing a common economic space, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey said on Monday. "A dialogue between the European Union and the emerging Eurasian Economic Union is important in order to harmonize the two key integration processes, to form a future common economic space," he told a news conference after the fifth informal dialogue between foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership programme. He said it would help avoid new division lines. "Belarus is ready to make a contribution to this process and provide a venue for such dialogue, which would involve both the Eurasian Economic Union and the Eastern Partnership," he said. The Belarusian foreign minister said he was confident dialogue and cooperation with neighbours, first of all with Russia, were needed to reach the basic goals of the Eastern Partnership programme. Eastern Partnership is a multi-party programme of the European Union geared towards the development of regional cooperation with six former Soviet republics, namely Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
