Armenians' Archbishop: All divine religions respect Iranian culture

Tabriz, Dec 12, IRNA - Archbishop of Armenians in Western Iran Grigor Chiftchian said in this northwestern province on Monday that all divine religions respect the glorious Iranian culture. Chiftchian made the remarks in a meeting with head of East Azerbaijan Culture and Islamic Guidance Department Mohammad Mohammad-Pour. He added all divine religions in Iran live peacefully alongside each other in the Islamic Republic. Chiftchian underscored that the Armenian minorities are doing their best to forge unity and reinforce national commonalities. He added followers of different religions are able to live comfortably and express their views freely in Iran. Mohammad-Pour, for his part, cited Iran as the safest country in the region. He noted that culture could be considered as the best platform to integrate ideas and different divine religions. 1378/IRNA
