Only medical process left in "mission possible" at "Tham Luang" Cave in Thai North

BANGKOK, July 12 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has declared the so-called "mission possible" at the Tham Luang Cave in the compound of the Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park in Chiang Rai Province in the Thai North almost completed, leaving only the soon completion of a medical process on physical check-ups and rehabilitation of all the 13 members of the young Thai soccer team at the provincial hospital, before discharging them home. Speaking to journalists before flying to Sri Lanka for a two-day official visit during July 12-13, the prime minister stressed that the successful rescue mission of all the 12 young Thai soccer players, aged 11-16 years old, and their 25-year-old coach, who had been trapped in the deep and massively-inundated cave since June 23, was in accordance with international standards. The Thai prime minister expressed his appreciation to the 17-day international rescue mission, joined by Thai teams and diving specialists and volunteers from dozens of allied countries in an impressively-integrated and collaborative manner, showing the hospitality of all the mitigating teams and supporters although some of whom encoutered ill-fated incidents during rescue operations. The Thai premier also praised international journalists who have cooperated well with the ad-hoc official command center in their coverage of the incident to ensure their accurate dissemination of updates, as well as Elon Reeve Musk, the founder, chief executive officer (CEO) and lead designer of SpaceX and the co-founder, CEO and product architect of US-based Tesla, Inc. for presenting a prototype mini-submarine to Thailand during the rescue mission that will benefit the country's future innovative research projects. However, the Thai leader asked that people and journalists respect the privacy of all the 13 footballers of the "Thai boars academy" and let them go back to schools and continue their normal ways of life without any pressure. The prime minister also vowed to restore areas in front of the cave and their neighborhoods and to provide compensations to local farmers whose farmlands have been submerged by waterflows pumped out of the mountainous cave. The Thai leader expressed his sorrow for the passing of a 38-year-old diving hero, former member of Thai Navy SEAL Petty Officer First Class Saman Kunan during the perilous rescue process, promising that the Thai government will take best care of his family. Meanwhile, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) reported that the financial support, provided by AOT and other public and private contributors, for the family of the passing ex-Thai Navy SEAL, who later worked for AOT, has reached about six million baht so far.
