BANGKOK, July 4 (TNA) - Thailand's new cabinet, led by Acting Prime Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit, was sworn in yesterday before Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida at Ampornsan Throne Hall. The ceremony, held at 11:11 AM, marked the formal assumption of duties for the government.

Key appointments include Phumtham Wechayachai as Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra as Culture Minister, and Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol as Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Other ministers appointed cover portfolios such as agriculture, commerce, labor, and education, with several deputy positions also filled.

Following the oath-taking, the cabinet convened a special meeting at Government House. The cabinet approved the succession order for acting prime ministers in the absence of the prime minister: Phumtham Wechayachai, Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Pichai Chunhavajira, and Prasert Chantararuangtong. While the acting prime minister will hold similar powers, decisions on personnel and budget approvals will require full cabinet consent. -819 (TNA)
