London, July 15, 2025, SPA -- A delegation from Saudi Arabia's technology, innovation, and space sector, led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, visited prominent British companies and research centers specializing in deep tech and satellite communication, as part of a series of official engagements in the United Kingdom.
The tour began at Wayve, a company focused on AI-driven autonomous driving technologies, where the delegation explored the next-generation smart mobility solutions (AV2.0). They then visited Automata Technologies, a company specializing in laboratory automation through robotics, to learn about the LINQ platform that employs AI to accelerate laboratory research and diagnostics, opening avenues for collaboration in digital healthcare and bio-research.
To bolster tech entrepreneurship, the delegation met with Catapult company leaders to discuss potential partnerships to support startups and accelerate the adoption of deep technologies.
Additionally, the delegation held discussions with OneWeb, a provider of broadband communication services via Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. They explored high-speed connectivity projects for critical sectors and partnership opportunities to develop advanced communication solutions that support innovation and space ecosystems in transportation, energy, industry, and education.
This visit aligns with the Kingdom's efforts to localize future technologies and enhance its position as a global hub for innovation, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
