Saudi Biology Team Participates in 2025 International Biology Olympiad in the Philippines

   Manila, July 22, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi national biology team is participating in the 36th International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2025), hosted in the Philippine capital, Manila, from July 20 to 27, alongside elite high school students from around the world.
   Representing the Kingdom in this prestigious global scientific competition, featuring more than 300 students from 80 countries, are four students who qualified after undergoing an intensive training program of over 2,800 hours each. The program was supervised by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.
   IBO is an annual global competition targeting talented high school students in the field of biology. First held in 1990 in the Czech Republic, it aims to test students’ skills in solving biological problems across various branches of the science through high-level theoretical and practical exams.
