Output of Electricity Increases at Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant

 Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant in the DPRK is now conducting a drive for increased production and creation.
The workers of the power plant have raised the electricity production 1.2 times as compared with last year by laying a foundation for the long-term development to steadily increase the electricity production and waging a drive for the implementation of the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
They have finished replacing various kinds of conduits in a qualitative way while taking timely measures for solving the problems arising in workshops, taken thorough measures for insulating the pulverizing system against heat loss and laid material and technical foundations for generating more electricity at less cost.
The flames of the mass technological innovation movement have been kindled and a remarkable progress made in the overall production and readjustment and reinforcement of the power plant. The number of operating days per ignition increased more than twice as much as last year and the efficiency of dust-cleaning equipment was improved, thus making progress in preventing pollution. -0-
