Historical Victory through All-People Resistance

 Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- August 15 is the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
On the occasion of this significant day, the DPRK people recollect with deep emotion the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the great historic cause of national liberation by dint of all-people resistance under the banner of self-reliant independence.
At the Kalun Meeting (June 30-July 2, 1930), the President said that all the anti-Japanese patriotic forces should be awakened and firmly rallied to inspire them to a sacred anti-Japanese struggle, and stressed the need to unite all the forces with anti-Japanese idea firmly under the banner of anti-Japanese struggle.
Accordingly, the work for awakening and organizing broad sections of the masses by enlisting them in various forms of organizations was conducted, and the mass foundation of the Korean revolution and the cornerstone for all-people resistance were laid.
Having penetrating into the characteristics and requirements of all-people resistance, the President founded the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland in May 1936 and made public "Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" to provide a theoretical and practical weapon for rapidly developing the overall Korean revolution into a great upsurge.
The might of the idea of all-people resistance founded and developed by the President was fully displayed in the days of the final decisive battle for national liberation.
In hearty response to the three-point line of national liberation, which indicated the orientation of the struggle for accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation by the efforts of the Korean people themselves, more than 120 armed resistance organizations were formed across the country to wage various forms of anti-Japanese struggle and make a great contribution to the final offensive operation of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.
Under the leadership of the President, the Korean people defeated the Japanese imperialists through the all-people resistance with the KPRA as the core force and achieved their cherished desire of Korea's liberation on August 15, 1945.
The liberation of Korea was a historic victory of the all-people resistance led by the President. -0-
