Oratorical Meeting of Workers and Trade Union Members Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- An oratorical meeting of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) took place at the Central Hall of Workers Wednesday on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Present there were Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, officials of the GFTUK and workers and trade union members in Pyongyang.
First of all, there was a poem reciting of the full-length epic "Mt Paektu".
The performers highly praised the immortal feats of President Kim Il Sung, the legendary hero of the great anti-Japanese war and the peerless patriot, whom the Korean people greeted and held in high esteem for the first time in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years.
A performer said in the oratory "The President and Nostalgia" that the exploits of the President, who built on this land a prosperous socialist country independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence by devoting his precious whole life to the sacred revolutionary struggle, will be immortal.
The oratory "Dignity" touched a chord with the participants as it added to the conviction that the immortal reputation of the Republic, which was liberated and glorified by the President, is shining as a symbol of victory and glory under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and that the ever-victorious history of Juche Korea will be invariably carried forward.
Another oratory "Lifeline of the Revolution" reflected the determination to glorify the revolutionary traditions of Mt Paektu generation after generation and make a genuine contribution to the comprehensive national rejuvenation with a dynamic struggle of creation and boundless patriotic devotion.
The oratorical meeting, which showed the ardent enthusiasm of all the workers and trade union members, ended with chorus "We Will Go to Mt Paektu". -0-
