Many Youths in DPRK Volunteer to Work at Major Worksites of Socialist Construction

 Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- More than 100 young people in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK volunteered to work at major worksites of socialist construction.
Dozens of young people in Sunchon, Kaechon and Tokchon cities and Pukchang and Mundok counties volunteered to work at coal mines in the province.
Youth league members in Anju City and Hoechang, Jungsan and Unsan counties advanced into construction brigades and raw materials base stations with a resolve to usher in a new era in which local areas are prospering and face-lifted.
Young people in Songchon, Yangdok and Sinyang counties petitioned to work at workteams for maintaining roads over mountains and forestry management stations.
A meeting was held in Phyongsong City on June 26 to congratulate the volunteers.
Present there were officials concerned, officials of the youth league, volunteers and youth and students in the city. Petition certificates were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory speech and speeches were made.
Officials in the province and working people in the city warmly saw off the volunteers leaving for worksites of socialist construction. -0-
