Achievements Made at Thermal Power Plant

 Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The Chongchongang Thermal Power Plant in the DPRK strengthens its material and technical foundations by increasing the scientific and technological capability.
The power plant has built up a sci-tech database and normalized the operation of sci-tech learning space so as to help the employees acquire a wider and deeper knowledge. And it established a system for evaluating the results of new technological development so that all of them can take part in the technical innovation campaign purposefully and consciously.
It remodeled the ignition band of boiler furnace with the far-infrared heating element to increase the combustion velocity and efficiency of pulverized coal. By doing so, it laid a foundation for increased production of electricity.
Through repeated boiler air volume control tests, it found a scientific operation method and increased the air pressure more than before, thus boosting the per-hour steam production.
It made an efficient jig for shortening the repair time of various motors, put the production management system on an IT basis and developed an advanced digital temperature display. -0-
