Proactive Efforts Made to Train Reserve Teachers

 Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Teacher-training universities and colleges in the DPRK are making proactive efforts to train qualified teachers.
Sariwon Ri Kye Sun University of Education and Sariwon Teachers Training College have created and introduced the research-type teaching and studying methods to improve the creative thinking faculty and application ability of students by putting the educational contents on a more concrete, diversified and practical basis.
Kanggye University of Education introduced new foreign language teaching methods. And it invented and made apparatuses for experiment and practice conducive to improving practical abilities.
Phyongsong University of Education has ensured that new teachers are well versed in the educational contents and teaching methods under the new educational programme.
Now that the second universal 12-year compulsory education programme is being enforced, teachers of Chongjin O Jung Hup University of Education has incorporated relevant educational contents into the curriculum and taught the students effectively, speeding up the production of necessary teaching aids and educational aid programs.
Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College turned some places into foreign language study halls and made and applied modern experimental apparatuses to train competent teachers.
Teachers at Hamhung Choe Hui Suk Teachers Training College are devoting their wisdom and enthusiasm to teaching and education. -0-
