Iran's Kowsar satellite integrated with Soyuz launcher

TEHRAN, Dec. 23 (MNA) – The upgraded version of Iran’s Kowsar satellite has been successfully integrated with Russia’s Soyuz launch vehicle, marking a key milestone ahead of its scheduled launch from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The integration process of the upgraded Kowsar satellite onto the separation block of Russia’s Soyuz launch vehicle has been successfully completed, with the satellite positioned alongside other payloads.

According to available information, all technical and compatibility tests related to the satellite’s integration were carried out successfully, confirming the system’s readiness for launch.

The Kowsar satellite was developed by the Iranian knowledge-based company Omid Faza, reflecting continued progress in Iran’s private and semi-private space technology sector.

The integration of two other Iranian satellites, Zafar-2 and Paya, was completed a day earlier as part of the same launch mission.

The three Iranian satellites are scheduled to be launched on December 28 aboard a Soyuz rocket from Russia’s Vostochny Spaceport.
