Kyrgyzstan aims to export Talas beans to UAE

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2025. /Kabar/. Beans from Talas are entering the Dubai market, Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev told on Birinchi Radio.

According to the minister, 100 million soms were allocated to support farmers during the autumn, when bean prices drop sharply. As part of this program, the state purchased 1,000 tons of beans at 95 soms per kilogram.

"In the autumn, farmers need to prepare their children for school and university; this is a period in which they especially need funds. The state has not stood aside," noted Bakyt Torobaev.

He also said that bean prices are expected to rise in January and February.

Negotiations are currently underway to export products to India, Iran, Russia, and Turkey, and the supply of beans to the Dubai market is also under active discussion.

Furthermore, farmers in the Talas region are encouraged to diversify their crops and grow sugar beets and safflower. Safflower is used to produce oil, cake, and straw, and is a valuable feed crop. There are currently over 50 small safflower oil production enterprises operating in Kyrgyzstan.
