His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister: The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to move forward in enhancing the efficiency of the energy sector and diversifying its sources by adopting innovative solutions and expanding renewable energy projects

Manama, August 9 (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed that the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, characterized by their growth and development, form a solid foundation for further expanding cooperation across various sectors, particularly in the energy sector. This contributes to achieving the shared goals and aspirations of both countries and their brotherly peoples. His Highness noted the care and attention given to Bahraini-Saudi relations by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, may God protect them both, to ensure their continued development and enhancement.

His Highness commended the advanced levels of cooperation and coordination achieved between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields, under the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his keenness to continue supporting the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.

This came during His Highness's meeting today at Al-Riffa Palace, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Mr. Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, Ambassador of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Abunayyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Company. His Highness indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to move forward in enhancing the efficiency of the energy sector and diversifying its sources, through adopting innovative solutions and expanding renewable energy projects, which supports the paths of economic growth. His Highness pointed out that the partnership between the public and private sectors represents a fundamental pillar in accelerating the implementation of quality projects and employing innovation and modern technologies to enhance capabilities to continue achieving development goals. His Highness noted the continuous development of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and ACWA Power Company, praising its contributions to energy projects.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his keen interest in further strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity. 

Also present at the meeting were His Excellency Mr. Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
