Turkish companies intend to invest in Kyrgyzstan's agriculture

Bishkek, Feb. 4, 2026. /Kabar/. Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry held working meeting with a delegation of Turkish agricultural companies who interested in implementing investment projects in Kyrgyzstan
According to the ministry, the meetings were organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Antalya.
During the talks, the Turkish side presented initiatives based on the results of previous research and working visits to the Kyrgyz Republic. The companies expressed their intention to begin the practical implementation of investment projects in the country's agricultural sector.
The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including the creation of modern greenhouse complexes using soil-based and soilless technologies, the introduction of automated irrigation, heating, lighting, and plant nutrition systems, and the production of internationally certified fruit, vegetable, and berry seedlings.
Special attention was paid to the production of mineral and semi-organic fertilizers and the provision of consulting services to domestic farmers.
The meetings also addressed legal and procedural aspects of implementing investment initiatives, including product licensing and certification, as well as possible formats for further cooperation in accordance with Kyrgyz legislation.
Ministry confirmed its readiness to provide advisory assistance within its competence and to support investment projects.
