Kyrgyz judoka wins gold medal in Abu Dhabi

Bishkek, Feb.11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz judoka Islam Bayalinov won a gold medal at the Open Masters Games-2026 in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the State Agency for Physical Education and Sports, the competition started on February 7 in Abu Dhabi.

Islam Bayalinov, the head coach of the Kyrgyz women's judo team, competed in the 73 kg weight category and started the competition from the 1/8 finals.

During the competition, the 40-year-old athlete defeated his rivals from Brazil and Kazakhstan in four consecutive matches, ultimately winning the gold medal.

It should be noted that at the end of January of this year, Islam Bayalinov participated in the Kyrgyz championship and won a silver medal.
