Bishkek, Feb.16, 2026. /Kabar/. February 16, Speaker of Parliament, Marlen Mamataliev, received the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan, Altamash Wazir Khan.
As reported by the parliament, during the meeting, the parties discussed the development of political and economic relations between the two countries and the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Marlen Mamataliev congratulated the ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic activity and noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to cooperation with Pakistan in all areas. He recalled that the recent visit of head of state Sadyr Zhaparov to Pakistan was fruitful and expressed his readiness to provide parliamentary support in the implementation of the agreements reached.
"We have great potential to deepen trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen dialogue within the framework of parliamentary friendship groups and organize bilateral visits," said Marlen Mamataliev.
In turn, Ambassador Altamash Wazir Khan congratulated the Speaker on his election and expressed his interest in taking bilateral relations to a new level. He also invited Marlen Mamataliev to pay an official visit to Pakistan.
"Kyrgyzstan is open gateway to Central Asia for Pakistani businessmen. It is urgent to use this advantage to improve trade relations," said Altamash Wazir Khan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the need to implement joint investment projects and intensify economic partnership.
