The National Security Advisor Meets the Egyptian Ambassador and Affirms: The Current Stage Requires Concerted Efforts to Restore Calm and Stability to the Region

Baghdad /NINA/ - National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed that "terrorism is a common enemy of all peoples."
The National Security Chancellery stated in a press release that al-Araji met today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Ahmed Samir. The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, thereby solidifying shared interests and opening broader horizons for cooperation in various fields.
Al-Araji emphasized that the current stage requires concerted efforts and joint action to restore calm and stability to the region. He stressed that stability will positively impact all its countries at various levels—political, security, and economic—serving the interests of Arab and friendly nations and enhancing opportunities for development and peace.
He pointed out that "terrorism is a common enemy of all peoples, and it cannot be eradicated except through genuine coordination and effective cooperation between the countries of the region and the international community, through the exchange of information and expertise and the unification of positions in confronting this transnational challenge."
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador expressed his country's keenness to develop relations with Iraq and deepen the partnership between the two countries, stressing that "Iraq is a pivotal country in the region, and has a major and influential role in consolidating stability and restoring calm and peace, which contributes to supporting the security of the entire region and strengthening its shared future." /End
