Ministry of Health launches digital equipment inventory system

Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2026. /Kabar/. First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov met with Indira Moldogazieva, a representative of the German Development Bank (KfW), and Kerez Kelishova, a project manager at the consulting firm GITEC-IGIP, to discuss the implementation of the SAMEDIS digital medical equipment inventory system.
According to the Ministry of Health's press service, the meeting discussed the current status of the "Healthcare V" sectoral program, which is being implemented with financial support from the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as technical support, data updates, and ensuring the system's stable operation in healthcare organizations.
The event included a handover ceremony for 150 printers and 1,000 cartridges designed to support medical organizations' workflows and digital equipment inventory.
To date, training sessions have been conducted for staff at all designated medical institutions, and the system has been launched. The inventory of medical equipment continues in the regions, with healthcare organizations in Bishkek and the Chui region having already completed the main stage and moved to regular data updates.
Additional training has been provided to employees of relevant departments responsible for database management and data quality control. Going forward, medical equipment inventory management will be performed by the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyzpharma.
The next stage will be the organization of technical support and further development of digital solutions.
