Over $2.3 bn in goods exported from Iran’ Bushehr Province: Official

Bushehr, IRNA — The head of the provincial customs office of Bushehr says 2.364  billion dollars worth of goods have been exported from the province’s customs offices in the first five months of this Iranian calendar year (March 20 – August 20).

Ali Soleimani said on Sunday that the province’s exports generally fall into three categories: gas condensates, petrochemical products, and other goods. He added that the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) accounts for 82% of the total export volume and 87% of the total export value.

He added that 5.1 million metric tons of goods valued at $2.364  billion were exported from Bushehr’s customs offices and ports during the five months.

The customs supervisor noted that traders and merchants in the province exported goods to 32 countries this year.

China, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Turkey, India, Oman, Sri Lanka, Russia, Singapore, and Malaysia were among the main destinations of Bushehr’s exports, he added.

He also noted that the province’s major export items include petrochemical products, various liquefied gases, cement and clinker, different types of fish and shrimp, and stone products.
