Iraq and Iran Discuss Regional Developments and Shared Border Security

Baghdad/NINA/ – Iranian Fars News Agency reported today that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed—in a phone call with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein—the security of the shared border between the two countries and ways to contain regional tensions.

The Agency indicated that the call addressed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ongoing trends in the region, with both sides exchanging views on these matters. 

According to the Agency, the two ministers highlighted key issues in Iran-Iraq relations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability and security along their shared border and the necessity of continued coordination and cooperation between the two nations.

Both sides also stressed the need for responsible approaches to regional developments, underscoring the importance of preventing the escalation of tensions and the expansion of conflicts in the region. / End
