Sci-tech Products Developed by Agricultural Scientists Popular among Various Units

 Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- Agricultural sci-tech products developed by scientists of the Institute of Agro-chemicalization under the Academy of Agricultural Sciences are popular among agricultural production units, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The number of units who are introducing the slow-effective weed-killer Jihyo 1 is increasing day by day.
This weed-killer keeps the weeding effect of over 95 percent in paddy fields for about two months. It can kill various kinds of weeds growing in paddy fields in a comprehensive way without giving harming effect on rice seedlings and growth.
The institute introduced the newly-developed slow-effective fertilizer into rice and corn cultivation, proving scientifically that it is helpful to increasing the per-hectare yield while using less fertilizer than before.
The institute also newly developed the wheat and barley seed-coating material Phungnyonmo 3 and is increasing the area of its introduction. It is winning popularity among farms as it helps remove the former process of disinfecting wheat seed.
As a result of the introduction of Phungnyonmo 3, many farms considerably increased the per-hectare wheat yield this year. -0-
