Foundation Day of Korea Marked

 Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The Foundation Day of Korea was commemorated with due ceremony at the Mausoleum of King Tangun on Saturday.
Present there were Kim Hyong Sik, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of the Bureau for the Protection of Historical Heritage, officials concerned, working people in Pyongyang and overseas compatriots staying in the homeland.
There was an ancestral rite for Tangun. 
Then Hwang Kwang Il, director of the Bureau for the Protection of Historical Heritage, made a commemorative report.
The reporter praised the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who ensured that the remains of Tangun, ancestral father of Korea, was found out and the Mausoleum of King Tangun was wonderfully renovated to add luster to the 5 000-year history of the nation.
He noted that the DPRK has greeted a great new era of self-reliance and prosperity on the road of historic advance for the overall development of socialism under the veteran and seasoned guidance of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the peerless patriot. -0-
