UKRAINE TO JOIN NATO AIR PATROL SCHEME
BRUSSELS, June 15 (Itar-Tass) - NATO and Ukraine have signed a
memorandum of understanding on Ukraine's accession to the NATO air patrol system, NATO secretary-general Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said on Saturday after a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine commission at the level of defence ministers.
Jaap de Hoop Scheffer has described Ukraine's joining this scheme as an important step because it's aimed at increasing air security in
general, including anti-terror security.
