IRANIAN ENVOY, PHILIPPINE'S DEPUTY FM DISCUSS ISSUES OF MUTUAL INTEREST

Iranian envoy, Philippine's deputy FM discuss issues of mutual interest

Kuala Lumpur, June 15 (IRNA) - Iran's ambassador to the Philippine Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani conferred with Deputy Foreign Minister Rafael Seguis in Manila on Friday.

Rouzbehani, by referring to the existing dynamics in bilateral ties as well as strengthening cooperation in different fields, underlined the importance of holding the fifth joint economic commission in near
future.

Referring to Iran's proposed package for constructive talks with the
west concerning recognition of nations' right for using peaceful
nuclear energy, restraint from threat and monopolistic acts,
respecting democracy and nations' human and cultural values,
strengthening international and regional peace, the issue of
terrorism, politico-economic development, the ambassador expressed
Iran's readiness for talks with other nations, too.

Iran's nuclear activities are all in the framework of
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Agency has confirmed several times the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, the ambassador underlined.

He criticized silence of the world community against threats of
warmongering regime of Israel against Iran.

The Philippine's senior diplomat, for his part, expressed pleasure
with the good expanding cooperation ties between Tehran and Manila and underlined the importance of friendly relations between the two
countries.

Confirming Iran's stance on its nuclear activity, Seguis underlined
Philippine government support for Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear energy.

Considering the increasing fuel price in the world and countries'
pressing needs for energy, using peaceful nuclear energy is necessary
for all, he said.
