Fajr Theater Festival to honor prominent stage directors
TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA) -- Directors Behruz Gharibpur, Atila Pesyani, Maryam Motaref, Mohammadreza Khaki and Hadi Namvar will be honored at the 28th edition of the festival running from January 22 to 31 in various theaters in Tehran.
This honoring ceremony will take place during closing ceremonies here on January 31.
Gharibpur will be performing his recent opera puppet show “Rumi” at the festival. He has previously performed three puppet operas, “Rustam and Sohrab” a national work, “Macbeth” an international play and “Ashura”, which is a religious-themed play.
“The Zero Hour” by Atial Pesyani is also an entry to the festival this year. Pesyani is an active actor on screen, and in TV series as well.
Motaref staged “The Wall of China” last year in Tehran, but has no entry scheduled for the festival.
Namvar is entering the festival with “Queen of the Valley of Jinns”. Khaki has no play for the festival this year.
