Schoolchildren visit Ak Orda residence
Astana, January 17 2009, Khabar - Capital schoolchildren and students of a vocational school have visited the head of state’s residence. 30 “A” pupils and young active members of the society had a chance of seeing halls where the President of Kazakhstan receives high-ranking guests, holds important meetings and talks and rules the country.
Saniya Akhmetova, student, vocation school 6 in Astana:
- We really liked Ak Orda, the place where our nation’s fate is shaped. Ak Orda is the symbol of our independence.
Akmaral Makzumova, pupil, school 17 in Astana:
- Not everyone gets a chance of visiting the residence and looking at it from the inside. I’ve been waiting for it for ages. It showcases a brilliant architecture and design work. I really liked the “Golden hall”, “Marble hall” and the “Oval hall”. I always dreamt of visiting this place and I’ve finally seen it all today.
According to the Yesil district administration, the best pupils and students will obtain an opportunity of touring the Government, Parliament and the ministries this year.
