Astana, January 17 2009, Khabar - Almaty witnessed the opening of an anniversary exhibition of the famous Kazakhstan photographer Nikolay Postnikov. It involved 200 of his best works.
Nikolay Postnikov, photographer:
- Despite my endeavour, the main character of my works is a human. Yes, I am making photos of landscapes and other objects but a human remains the main hero. And spectators should judge, was I successful or not.
Nikolay Postnikov visited all parts of Kazakhstan.
Bektas Mukhamedzhanov, executive director, Foundation of First President of Kazakhstan:
- This exhibition shows his view on Kazakhstan, nature and people. Portraits that are presented on today’s exhibition shows that residents of Kazakhstan are very interesting and inspired people.
Nikolay Postnikov is a traveler. Furrowing the seas and oceans, crossing countries and continents he is looking for answers on his questions and his photos will tell what questions exactly.

- When I was a child, I was dreaming of becoming a traveler and my dream came true. Actually, there is no such profession as a traveler. There are geologists, archeologists and I am a photographer.
