ABOUT COMPETITIONS NAMED AFTER OLYMPIC SILVER MEDALIST



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The youth state championships for judo has finished in Khentii aimag. The competitions named after People's Teacher and State Honored Sportsman Ts.Damdin have run in Ondorkhaan city dedicated to the 30th anniversary of winning the first Olympic silver medal for Mongolia.
The championships was attended by some 250 judoists of Orkhon, Khovsgol, Khentii, Sukhbaatar, Ovorkhangai, Bayankhongor, Bulgan, Zavkhan, Darkhan-Uul provinces and Ulaanbaatar city's clubs and sports schools.
A gold went to E.Khuntaij, a student of "Avarga" Institute, in the men's 55 kg category. The gold medals of men's other categories were gained by E.Enkhbayar (60 kg), U.Damdinbaatar (66 kg), M.Dashnyam (73 kg), Kh.Tsogtgerel (81 kg), T.Tuvshintulga (90 kg), D.Enkhbayar (-100 kg) and O.Duurenbayar (+100).
Gold medals of the women's weight categories went to J.Chantsaldulam (44 kg), O.Anujin (48), T.Amarjargal (52 kg), D.Sumya (57 kg), B.Sainbuyan (63 kg), Ts.Nasanjargal (70 kg), N.Nyamtuya (-78 kg) and D.Zoljargal (+78 kg).
The "Avragch" sports club at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and "Genco" club were selected as the top clubs for men and women, respectively.
