Iran beats UAE in Dubai basketball tourney
DUBAI, Jan. 18 (MNA) -- Iran’s Mahram defeated the UAE national team in the Dubai International Basketball Championship 2010 on Monday.
Iran beat the host 110-72 in Group A.
Mahram had already defeated Egyptian El-Gezira and Al-Wahda from Syria in the tournament.
Mahram is scheduled to play Lebanese Al-Riyadi on Tuesday.
10 of the best regional teams have participated in the Dubai International Basketball Championship in two groups.
The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinal stage.
The event runs through January 23.
