SECOND FINANCE MINISTER TO LEAD DELEGATION TO ASIAN FINANCIAL FORUM

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Second Finance Minister Ahmad Husni
Hanadzlah will lead the Malaysian delegation to the two-day Asian Financial
Forum starting in Hong Kong from Wednesday.

He is scheduled to address more than 1,000 participants at a policy dialogue
themed "Responding to the Financial Crisis -- Financial Reform Impacts and
Regulatory Regime Changes".

The minister will be in Hong Kong at the invitation of the Hong Kong Trade
Development Council, the organiser of the forum, said the Finance Ministry in a
statement Tuesday.

Ahmad Husni is also scheduled to speak at the Asean Investment Luncheon on
"New Realities, New Opportunities and Sustaining Recovery", the ministry said.

He will take the opportunity to explain to top-tiered fund managers at
private meetings on the economic and financial situation in Malaysia, especially
with regard to the liberalisation initiatives and the transformation process the
government is undertaking towards achieving a high income economy, it added.
