Yemen, IAEA evaluate agricultural research stations projects
SANA'A, June 17 (Saba)- Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Mansour al-Hawshabi held talks on Monday with
a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chaired by the international expert Dilipor.
During the meeting, they evaluated projects of agricultural research stations in
Dhamar and Tihama in improving agricultural production.
The talks also dealt coordination with the National Atomic Energy Commission in the
preparation of training programs for the ministry cadres and providing consultation
technical
expertise and equipment used in agricultural research.
The minister pointed out to the importance of such projects to increase
agricultural crops productivity to contribute to improvement of the agricultural
sector in Yemen
and activate its role to realize food security.
For his part, IAEA delegation praised the implemented projects in Yemen forachieving increased products in crops of wheat, lentils, sesame and cotton with high quality. - end.
