Certain countries seek to undercut Tehran-Baghdad ties, Iran says
TEHRAN, Jan. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has said certain countries seek to undermine Tehran-Baghdad amicable ties.
In a meeting with the visiting Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdul Mahdi on Wednesday, Mottaki said the multi-billion dollar trade exchanges as well as good political relations between Iran and Iraq have exasperated the enemy.
He also called for expansion of economic ties between the two neighbors.
He went on to say that Tehran does not waver in its support for the democratically-elected Iraqi government.
Abdul Mahdi also called for strengthening political relationship between Tehran and Baghdad.
