'Lawlessness under pretext of loyalty to Leader unacceptable': Iran's parliament speaker

ARAK, Central Province , Jan. 20 (MNA) -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei does not like to see certain persons violate the people’s rights under the pretext of following his orders.
In a meeting with provincial officials in Central Province, Larijani said extremism will harm the country and create animosity.
He stated that the Islamic Revolution has certain principles, and everyone should follow the path of the late Imam Khomeini, leadership, and the Constitution, but they should not follow certain people’s thoughts.
Larijani said Ayatollah Khamenei has insisted that people whose mistakes led to any violation of the people’s rights should be dealt with, regardless of their political affiliations.
“As the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has cautioned, political disputes that could undermine the country’s development should be ended as soon as possible,” he noted.
Those who love their country should help create a situation in which the country can make progress, he added.
Larijani stated that the parliament and Judiciary are following up the post-lection issues, and the Supreme Leader’s insightful view should be heeded in order to resolve the problems.
