WEF to focus on international cooperation to restructure financial and economic institutions
Geneva (VNA) – The 40 th World Economic Forum (WEF), which will be held in Davos,
Switzerland on January 27, will focus on international cooperation to restructure
financial and economic institutions, said Klaus Schwab, the founder and Executive
Chairman of WEF.
At the event, the 2,500 participants from 55 countries and territories worldwide
will discuss the outcome of the Copenhagen climate conference, which took place
last December, he stated.
Other issues, such as measures to boost economic growth, the new roles being
played by the US and China as well as Brazil’s economic strength in the future
are also expected to be high on the meeting’s agenda, according to Andre
Schneider, the WEF’s managing director.-Enditem.
