PRESIDENT RECEIVES A.GORDEEV

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The State Head Ts.Elbegdorj received Thursday A.V.Gordeev, Governor of Russia's Voronej Region and a special envoy to the Russian President in charge of promoting cooperation with Mongolia in trade, economic and investments.
Mr Gordeev reaffirmed that the government of the Russian Federation (RF) has a willingness to expand its trade and economic ties with Mongolia, and said Russia is ready to make investments to railway, extraction of uranium and banking sector of Mongolia. He expressed a hope that Mongolia's side would consult with Russia in making decisions on factories with joint investments.
The President said Mongolia attaches a great importance to the good neighborhood and friendly relations with Russia and said that the year of 2009 was a special period in the bilateral relations and cooperation. He approved efforts of the countries' governments to realize contracts and agreements established during visits of Russian President and Prime Minister to Mongolia.
Attendees of the meeting said Mongolia's President plans to visit Russia this spring, and emphasized that it should be effective in terms of deepening the bilateral economic cooperation and resolving vital matters.
The sides underlined importance of continuing liberating the bilateral trade and exporting meat to Russia.
