MONTSAME IS THE BEST PRESS ORGANIZATION TO ADVERTISE MONGOLIA ABROAD

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ “Basic duty of any newspaper and magazine is to give lucrative and active information the people need. If they use this active new information in their life and business effectively, news and feature reports of that newspaper could be considered as fruitful,” the MONTSAME Director-General T.Baasansuren highlighted in his report at the scientific conference held on Friday.
At the conference “MONTSAME's publications: tradition and innovation, urgent goals”, Baasansuren said Mongolia's National News Agency MONTSAME was founded in July 19, 1921.
“The agency commenced to issue a newspaper 'Bulletin of Mongolian Telegraph Agency' in Russian language and a newspaper 'Brief Magazine' in Mongolian language in 1922. Since the establishment of news agency in Mongolia, MONTSAME's operation began issuing a newspaper in foreign language, for example, distributing information in Russian. This is a proof that it corresponded with origin, development, general concept, trend and standard of foreign news agencies. This fact confirms that one of key objectives of the national news agency is to operatively deliver and distribute worldwide real, fair information about Mongolia and its people,” he said.
“…As a part of measures to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the MONTSAME, this scientific conference has been organized. In other words, the 90th anniversary is to be marked of the launch of Mongolia's abroad advertisement in professional journalistic level. Over the past 90 years, besides the domestic publications, MONTSAME has issued following publications in the direction of abroad advertisement:
-A newspaper 'Bulletin of Mongolian Telegraph Agency' in Russian and Mongolian languages since 1922
-A newspaper “Laborer's Path” in Chinese language starting September 1, 1929
-A newspaper “Mongolian News” in Chinese language from 1964
-A newspaper”Novosty Mongolii” in Russian language from May 1, 1942
-A magazine “Mongoliya” in Russian Language from July 1956
- A magazine “Mongolia” in English in 1965-1980
- A newspaper Mongol Messenger” in English since 1991
- A newspaper “Mongory Tsusin” in Japanese from 2003
- A magazine “Mongolia Today” in English since 2006
- Daily news bulletins in Russian and English

MONTSAME Agency was named the best press institution of advertising Mongolia abroad in 2005-2008 by the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists.”
