DEPUTY SPEAKER MEETS A.GORDEEV



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Deputy Speaker of Parliament N.Enkhbold received Thursday A.V.Gordeev, Governor of Voronej Region of the Russian Federation and Russian President's special envoy in charge of promoting cooperation with Mongolia in trade, economic and investments. Present at the meeting were Kh.Badamsuren and G.Bayarsaikhan MPs.
Beginning the meeting, the Deputy Speaker congratulated Mr Gordeev for becoming a special envoy of Russia's President in charge of promoting cooperation with Mongolia in trade, economic and investments. Enkhbold emphasized that the traditional and friendly cooperation between Mongolia and Russia is strengthening in frames of successful development of the bilateral ties of strategic partnership. He said high level visits and talks are activating and expressed his confidence that Mr Gordeev's visit would "significantly contribute to our ties and collaboration".
E.Enkhbold noted that Mongolia-Russia parliamentary group, which has the biggest number of members, plays main role in tackling matters of the bilateral cooperation. "Alhtough the cooperation and mutual understanding are developing at high level, our countries still have a number of vital issues to be soved urgently, for example, a transfer of Russia-owned apartments to Mongolian side, a delay in exporting Mongolian meat to Russia.
In turn, Gordeev thanked the Deputy Speaker for the audience and expressed a confidence that these matters will be resovled positively. He underlined that the countries "need to make certain decisions on starting some works in accordance with political agreements".
Having mentioned that B.Gryzlov, a chairman of the State Duma, will pay a visit to Mongolia this year, Gordeev said he visits Mongolia to share views with its authorities on cooperation in railway, extraction of uranium and banking sector. He said the State Great Khural plays key role in widening the bilateral relations and cooperation, and requested the parliamentary group to back these issues.
