Gaza is symbol of resistance against global powers: Iran
TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) -- Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili says the Islamic resistance in the Gaza Strip is the symbol of resistance against the club of world powers.
“Gaza is sending the supporters of the Zionist regime the message that even one nation can stand up to the club of global powers,” Jalili said at a conference on Gaza in Tehran on Saturday.
He stated that since World War II ended, international diplomacy has been dominated by military power and weapons of mass destruction.
Jalili said that after World War II, certain countries, which possessed such military capabilities, gained certain advantages over other nations and took control of the UN Security Council.
And the members of the club of global powers decided to occupy Palestine in order to attain their goals, he added.
But Palestine is a place where all the nuclear arsenals of these powers have proven to be useless, and although one side possesses thousands of nuclear warheads, it has failed to defeat the Palestinians in over sixty years, which is very noteworthy, Jalili said.
He also stated that the people of the Gaza Strip can show the world that they can resist the siege and prevent the club of global powers from implementing their plans there.
